Whilst the basic preparation is taking place we will work with your technology team or external contractors, suppliers to build a framework plan for the installation of technology.
We will establish the requirements for the telephony, data networks, wireless networks, voice recording, financial market data to ensure that a full register of requirements and responsibilities is developed. We will ensure liaison with the telecoms vendors to confirm that capacity and resilience can be available at the right time. At this point we will commence migration planning for existing telecoms and network facilities.
We will work with the IT Technology team to establish what equipment will be migrating from the old site and what need to be resourced. This process will include space planning and equipment inventory for the equipment to be installed in the equipment rooms and offices areas. A change control process will be instigated to assess the impact of changes to equipment or accommodation.
Throughout this process we will actively review the heat, power, cooling, space and weight budgets for current and expansion requirements. The power budgets will separate building power, protected power and UPS battery power budgets.
We will work with operational personnel to develop a plan for an environment that can be monitored and if desired operated remotely 24 hours a day.
